Penalties you never incur
Registration, filing and payment deadlines tracked and met, with returns reviewed technically before they go.
VAT services from registration through to return filing, refund claims and penalty review — run against a compliance calendar rather than reactively against an FTA notice.
The returns we are asked to review are rarely wrong because someone misunderstood the law. They are wrong because a bookkeeper applied a treatment without technical review, the business model changed and nobody revisited the VAT position, or the chart of accounts never distinguished the treatments cleanly in the first place.
The errors then repeat quarter after quarter until an assessment finds them, at which point the penalty is calculated across every affected period rather than one.
We treat VAT as a quarterly technical review, not a data-entry exercise. Every return is checked before submission by someone who understands zero-rating conditions, blocked input tax and the reverse charge — and if we find a historic error, we tell you and set out the disclosure options.

The value here is almost entirely in what does not happen to you.
Registration, filing and payment deadlines tracked and met, with returns reviewed technically before they go.
Businesses routinely under-claim as often as they over-claim. A proper review recovers what is legitimately yours.
A voluntary disclosure costs materially less than the same error found during an assessment. Timing is the whole game.
Refund claims are approved on evidence quality. We prepare the supporting file the way the FTA wants to read it.
Returns prepared with review time built in, not submitted in the final hours with whatever the ledger happened to show.
If the FTA raises a query, the team that prepared the return responds to it.
A quarterly rhythm with technical review built in.
We establish your registration status, tax periods, filing history and whether the treatments applied to date actually hold up.
Registration, deregistration or group registration as required, plus voluntary disclosures where earlier returns were misstated.
Output and input tax computed from reconciled records, with zero-rating, reverse charge and blocked items reviewed specifically.
Return submitted through EmaraTax, supporting file archived, and any subsequent FTA query handled by us.
For a business on quarterly filing.
Missing tax invoices. Input tax cannot be claimed without a valid one, and chasing suppliers in the final week is how deadlines get missed. We chase them monthly instead, so the quarter closes on time.
Postings made with VAT treatment applied correctly at source rather than corrected later.
Output and input tax extracted, banks reconciled, and any missing tax invoices chased.
Zero-rating conditions, blocked input tax, reverse charge and timing all reviewed by a senior.
Draft return and payable position shared with you before anything is submitted.
Return submitted through EmaraTax and the liability settled within the deadline.
Priced on transaction volume and complexity, whether or not we also keep your books.
From AED 1,500
One-off registration or deregistration handled properly.
From AED 1,800 / quarter
Ongoing return preparation and filing with technical review.
Custom
Historic error correction or an FTA assessment in progress.
Where we also maintain your accounting records, VAT preparation is materially cheaper because the data is already reconciled. Ranges are indicative and are not a binding offer.
The cleaner the records, the faster and cheaper the filing.
A return is only as good as the review behind it.
Every return checked by a senior before submission — zero-rating, reverse charge, blocked items and timing.
Prepared by people who understand the ledger the numbers came from and can defend each treatment.
If we find a misstatement in an earlier period, you hear about it with the options — that is the whole point of engaging us.
Prepared with review time built in rather than submitted on the deadline with whatever the system showed.
Claims stand or fall on evidence. We assemble it the way the FTA expects to receive it.
If the FTA comes back, the people who prepared the return respond — not a handover to someone unfamiliar.
Registration overdue, a return filed wrongly, or a query you cannot answer.
Most businesses come to us at one of three moments: turnover has crossed the threshold and registration is overdue, a return has been filed wrongly and needs correcting, or the FTA has raised a query nobody can answer.
All three are the same underlying problem — VAT treated as a filing task rather than a reconciliation discipline. A consultant is worth engaging when the position is unclear, not once it has gone wrong.
If you simply want to work out a figure, our UAE VAT calculator is free and needs no sign-up.
VAT registration becomes mandatory once taxable supplies exceed AED 375,000 in the preceding twelve months, or are expected to within the next thirty days. Voluntary registration is available from AED 187,500. The VAT registration threshold in the UAE is measured on turnover rather than profit, which regularly catches out businesses running at a loss.
The mechanics are unglamorous. You register through EmaraTax with your trade licence, memorandum, bank details, customs registration if you import, and turnover evidence such as invoices or contracts. Founders asking how to register for VAT in the UAE for a new company should know you can register before hitting the threshold if you can evidence expected turnover — useful when your customers require a TRN before they will contract with you.
Where a VAT registration consultant in the UAE genuinely earns the fee is afterwards: getting the first return right, handling designated zone questions, and knowing when a voluntary disclosure is the cheaper way to fix an error. See also VAT deregistration if you are winding down or have fallen below the threshold.
Straight answers, with the caveats that actually matter.
Registration becomes mandatory once taxable supplies and imports exceed the mandatory threshold over the preceding twelve months, or are expected to in the next thirty days. Voluntary registration is available at a lower threshold and is sometimes worth taking for input tax recovery. We assess which applies to you.
Most businesses file quarterly; some are assigned monthly periods by the FTA depending on turnover. Your tax period is set at registration and shown in your FTA portal. Returns and payment are due within twenty-eight days of the period end.
It is the mechanism for correcting an error in a filed return where the tax payable was understated by more than the prescribed threshold. Correcting voluntarily attracts materially lower penalties than having the FTA find the same error, and disclosing before an audit begins is treated differently again.
Often, yes — within the time limits and where valid tax invoices exist. Under-claiming is at least as common as over-claiming in the returns we review, particularly on imported services and capital purchases.
Common triggers include large or repeated refund claims, inconsistency between VAT returns and customs data, sharp changes in declared turnover, and industry-wide review campaigns. A clean filing history and good documentation is the best protection.
Yes. Deregistration is required when you cease making taxable supplies or fall below the voluntary threshold, and there are deadlines with penalties attached. It is also a step in company liquidation, which we handle as well.
Most clients pair this service with one or more of the following.
VAT is only as accurate as the ledger beneath it. Same firm, same records.
Both filings draw on the same accounting file. We keep them consistent.
ESR, UBO and AML obligations tend to be missed by the same businesses.
Raise it confidentially. We will quantify the exposure and set out the options before anything is submitted to the FTA.
Tell us your registration status, filing history and anything you think may be wrong. Nothing is submitted without your approval.
Takes under a minute. No obligation, no sales script.
Tell us where you are in the process. We will come back with the right jurisdiction, a realistic cost range and a timeline — no obligation.
