We have an office at Sharjah Media City, which makes Sharjah one of the two emirates where we work on the ground rather than remotely. For SHAMS companies, Sharjah mainland businesses and SAIF Zone entities, that means audit fieldwork, handovers and authority visits happen locally.
Our business services Sharjah office
Sharjah Media City (SHAMS), Sharjah. It is a working office rather than a registered address — the same team that handles Dubai engagements covers Sharjah, and we are on site regularly.
In practice this matters most for audit. Fieldwork, stock counts and clearing queries face to face are simpler when someone is twenty minutes away rather than crossing emirates in traffic.
SHAMS companies
SHAMS is among the lowest-cost credible licences in the UAE and is strongest for media, creative and consultancy businesses. We form companies there and we audit them — see SHAMS company setup for the formation side.
On the compliance side, two things catch SHAMS companies out. First, the zone has historically been lighter than DMCC on renewal audit requirements, which leads people to assume no audit is needed — but Qualifying Free Zone Person status requires audited accounts regardless of what the zone asks, with no revenue threshold. Second, substance: a licence held while living elsewhere is exposed on the 0% claim.
Current zone requirements are set out in our guide to SHAMS and Sharjah audit requirements.
Sharjah mainland and SAIF Zone
Sharjah mainland companies licensed by the Sharjah Economic Development Department, and SAIF Zone entities, are both within our normal working area.
SAIF Zone suits trading and light manufacturing, and like most zones requires audited statements for renewal. Where you hold stock, plan the year-end count properly — it cannot be reconstructed afterwards, and a missed count leads directly to a qualified opinion.

Sharjah or Dubai for your licence?
Cost favours Sharjah; perception often favours Dubai. The honest test is whether your clients will ever see your registered address.
For a media or consultancy business invoicing international clients, SHAMS delivers the same corporate tax outcome as a Dubai zone at meaningfully lower cost. For a business selling to Dubai corporates who will read the address on your invoice, the Dubai premium is usually worth paying — compare in our free zone comparison.

Yes, including SEDD-licensed mainland companies and SAIF Zone entities.
It depends entirely on whether your clients see it. For businesses invoicing overseas, rarely. For those selling to Dubai corporates, it can matter.
Yes, though it is effectively a new formation plus migration rather than a transfer. Choosing correctly first is cheaper.
Getting started
Tell us your zone and year end. Because we are on the ground in Sharjah, we can usually attend in person for fieldwork or a handover without adding travel to the fee.
